Training Description:

The greenhouse effect is a natural process in which the Earth, as it heats up from the Sun and emits infrared radiation, absorbs this radiation by so-called greenhouse gases. The result of this process is an increase in the temperature of the atmosphere without which it would not be possible for life to develop on the planet.

However, the intense anthropogenic activities that take place mainly since the industrial revolution have increased the content of these greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, causing the global temperature to rise.
